LesMisGame.com : Les Miserables: the game of the book

Zak McKracken gave me a love of adventure games. But nobody seems to make the kind of adventure game I like - one that deals with ordinary people, a huge universe, and real world topics. So I decided to make my own game. It isn't a comedy (since I'm no Ron Gilbert) but it is unique. I'm making it because there aren't any other games like this.

EnterTheStory.com : The world's biggest adventure game

Les Miserables is just the start. Every six months I'll add a new classic story to the same game world, making it bigger and bigger and deeper and richer. EnterTheStory is the hub for other sites. Eventually it wil have a different section for every story in the game, begining with Les Miserables. Until then, most of the pages are about comics, since I always wanted to be a comic artist when I was a child.

Badtime Bedtime Books : These were my favorite comics when I was a kid, and they gave me a love of reading. I was horrified to see that nobody had made a web site about them! So I made it.

Superhero Science : I like comics, and I like stories that make sense. So this web site explains how superhero powers work. After putting this up I was asked to help write the Official Handbook to the Invincible Universe!

The Campaign For Real Time : This is another site about comics. I like stories that are believable and stories that have direction. For comics, this means real time. (In September 2007 this is undergoing a major redesign)

Good value comics : At their best, comics can tell huge stories in a very small space. Sadly, most comic books today cost a lot and take along time to tell a story. It was not always thus.

Comic sales : In my other comics sites I refer to what makes a "good" comic. But do "good" comics sell? This site looks at long term sales trends, mainly in Marvel comics.

Lockjaw, the Inhuman : A tribute to my all-time favorite comics character.

Zak-Site.com : The Zak McKracken Archive

Just in case you came to this page from somewhere else. Don't miss the biggest Zak fan site on the Internet!

AnswerAnswers.com : Land rent and more

This is the big one. Or will be, within a few years. All the other web sites are just for fun. But this one is serious. Starting in 2008 I will make it my life's work. Until then it's just a light weight place holder. The final site will look nothing like this.

The other, old web sites

Years ago I made a series of Mormon related web sites. They're still out there, archived somewhere. I left the Mormon church in 2004 (or thereabouts). I also made some web pages for GlobalIssues around late 2001. The guy who runs GlobalIssues introduced me to the concept of land rent, and everything I've been looking for all my life fell into place. Land rent has been my passion ever since.

Something I'm quite proud of its that my web sites tend to come out as number one (or sometimes two) on Google. In mid 2007 I had to change some domain names, so the sites may be low down in the rankings for a few months, but in the start of 2007 if you Googled Zak McKracken, or Lockjaw and Inhuman, or badtime bedtime, or land rent or superhero science then my sites come up in the top two (usually Wikipedia is first!). Which just goes to prove that I am passionately interested in stuff that nobody else cares about. :)
