EnterTheStory.com : classic novels as games
Les Misérables, the Divine Comedy, Hesiod's Theogony, A Tale of Two Cities, the Count of Monte Cristo, and more: a new story every four months, building into the world's biggest adventure game. Enter The Story was originally going to be a comic, and the site is a hub for various comic pages:
The Fantastic Four: the great American novel : between 1961 and 1991 the Fantastic Four formed a single amazing story, and after that the Marvel Universe died. Read all about it.
Badtime Bedtime Books : These tiny literary parodies provide more ideas on one sheet of paper than any medium. "But they're just silly jokes for kids?" Don't underestimate the importance of optimism, culture and children.
Superhero Science : I agree with Tolkien: fantasy must be internally consistent. The purpose of fantasy is to provide an alternative universe so we can experiment with ideas.
Lockjaw, the Inhuman : A tribute to my all-time favorite comics character.
AnswerAnswers.com : Land rent will save the world
All the other web sites are just for fun. But this one is serious.
The other, old web sites
Years ago I made a series of Mormon related web sites. They're still out there, archived somewhere. I left the Mormon church in 2004 (or thereabouts). The earlier sites are a little angry, but I've mellowed since then.
I also made some web pages for GlobalIssues around late 2001. The guy who runs GlobalIssues introduced me to the concept of land rent, and everything I've been looking for all my life fell into place. Land rent has been my passion ever since.
